Review
1. Fits โ Outfit Planner & Closet
โ

โ
Fits is an all-in-one fashion and styling app. Besides organizing your wardrobe or sharing outfits with the community, it also offers amazing AI capabilities for virtual try on. After setting up your try on profile with a selfie and body type, you can select some of your clothes and start virtually trying on different outfits. You can also try on items you donโt own yet, say for example you want to try out different wedding dresses. You can simply add those dresses to a wishlist and then start the try on process from there. Fits uses the latest OpenAI image model, the one that got viral with Ghibli images. So it looks visually really great.

2. Vybe
โ

โ
Vybe was one of the first try on apps to gain popularity. What makes Vybe especially useful for trying out clothes before buying is the Safari browser plug-in that letโs you create an image of you in a given fit while you shop. Think Pinterestโs โPinโ button but for try on. However, it only works on mobile and only if you use Safari.

3. TRYO
โ

โ
Tryo is a great AR try on app for accessories like hats, shoes or watches. It doesnโt rely on image generation like the other solutions but instead you can see yourself with a 3D model of the item you want to try. Itโs real time and it works with video. The downside obviousely being that it only supports accessories. Also you cannot add your own clothes and have to rely on the appโs library. But if you want to try on a new pair of glasses or hats, give Tryo a shot.

4. Aiuta
โ

โ
Aiuta is another styling app with virtual try on features. You start from a mirror selfie of you with an outfit and can then replace pieces like tops, bottoms or footwear. You can select suggested clothes to try or prompt what you like to wear. The app also extracts the clothes you wear from a selfie to build your wardrobe. In our test, the extracted clothes looked very AI-generated however.

You could also build your own virtual try on solution with it.

6. ChatGPT Image Generation
โ

โ
Just a few weeks ago, OpenAI released their image generation model gpt-image-1 โ mostly known for creating those stunning Studio Ghibli images everyone posted on social media. It also works great for virtual try on and is nice to just try out one or two looks. Itโs not super convenient for ongoing usage, because youโll need to start new chats and add prompts again each time. But on the positive side, you have full creative freedom so you could create a try on image in space or in your favorite city next to a famous landmark? Think Paris styles in front of the Eiffel Tower.
